Startup Beats & Business

invites you to the premiere

From 26 July to 24 August, the Theater Beach will once again bring the beach to the heart of Osnabrück. Theatre Osnabrück and Marketing Osnabrück (mO.) invite you with great live acts, cool drinks and a relaxed atmosphere from Wednesday to Sunday. In addition, the brand new networking event "Startup Beats & Business" by Startup Osnabrück will offer an afternoon full of exciting conversations, innovations and entertainment on Tuesday, 6 August.

The event will present the concentrated power of the Osnabrück startup ecosystem, including regional partners such as the Aloys & Brigitte Coppenrath Foundation, the Osnabrück Economic Development Agency, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the HWK, WIGOS, the ICO, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, the StartUp!Lab of Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences "RISE" as well as the accelerators Seedhouse, Osnabrück Healthcare Accelerator (OHA) and SmartCityHouse.

Ingmar Bojes, Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderung Osnabrück, expressed his enthusiasm for the event and emphasised the importance of networking events for the local startup scene: "The event offers a great opportunity for founders to bring together local partners and experts. We look forward to developing new ideas and strengthening the region's innovation potential together with the other players in the Osnabrück startup ecosystem."

The event offers participants the opportunity to network in a relaxed beach atmosphere and take part in themed tables. There, experts will provide insights into topics such as funding, the Osnabrück startup ecosystem, innovations and tax law issues.

Florian Stöhr, Managing Director of Seedhouse, emphasises the importance of networking and knowledge exchange for young entrepreneurs: "Osnabrück is the hub of the startup scene in Lower Saxony. The new event format "Startup Beats & Business" is another example of how important it is to promote the exchange of knowledge and provide insights into the diverse opportunities. Osnabrück is home to a great start-up scene - we want to give everyone the chance to explore and experience it!"

The highlight of the evening is the Award Night, where the Osnabrück Startup of the Year 2024 will be chosen. The audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite and determine the winning team. The event will open with an inspiring keynote speech by Hans Knöchel, CEO and co-founder of the Osnabrück-based start-up Lambus. Lambus is an all-in-one travel app and was part of the Seedhouse Accelerator programme in 2019.

A lot has happened since then: from an appearance on "Höhle der Löwen" to support from NBank and numerous partnerships and milestones. Today, the app has become an integral part of the app stores and already has 500,000 users.

Alexander Illenseer, Managing Director of Marketing Osnabrück, is particularly pleased about the event right in the heart of Osnabrück: "In the branding process of the city of Osnabrück, the strong SME sector and the start-up scene are among one of the six strengths of the city. We want to use the new event format directly in the city centre to draw attention to the founders and make this accessible to the citizens. "Everyone is welcome: Startups, people interested in founding a company, entrepreneurs and anyone who would like to take part in the event, including citizens.
