A springboard for innovation: The Seedhouse and its consortium partners, IHK Osnabrück - Emsland - Grafschaft Bentheim and Stadtwerke Osnabrück AG, are working together to develop a hub as part of the DigitalHub Niedersachsen funding project. The DigitalHub combines digital technologies, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurial skills to create a platform for forward-looking ideas and entrepreneurial thinking.
Under the name "Seedhouse Startup School", the DigitalHub, consisting of a Tinyhouse and a digital platform, will in future support people interested in founding a company, students, vocational school pupils and startups and, above all, awaken the entrepreneurial gene. Managing Director Florian Stöhr from the Seedhouse is looking forward to the start of the project: "The Seedhouse Startup School is an important step towards promoting innovation in our region. Together with our partners, we are focusing on creating a dynamic ecosystem that combines digital technologies, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurial skills."
The centrepiece of the Startup School is the mobile Tinyhouse, which can be placed at various locations, whether at universities, vocational schools or other locations. The Tinyhouse offers a physical space for workshops, seminars and practical experiences and presents the technologies of the future, from 3D printing and robotics to virtual reality (VR) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT technology is provided by onnecto GmbH, a cooperation company of Stadtwerke Osnabrück and the district of Osnabrück, and provides reliable and secure infrastructure. Among other things, sensors are installed in the Tinyhouse to measure humidity, temperature and CO2 levels as well as to monitor closing and opening statuses. The measurement results are displayed transparently for every visitor via a monitor directly in the Tinyhouse.
"We provide a reliable and secure infrastructure that enables companies to optimise their processes and display them transparently. As a partner, we are proud to contribute to the promotion of entrepreneurship in our region and to be able to offer a platform and provide insights into IoT technology as part of the project," says Ingo Lemme, Managing Director of onnecto GmbH.
In addition to free technology access, the Tinyhouse can also be used as a meeting room or comfortable workplace. In addition, a digital platform is being developed to teach entrepreneurial skills and innovation topics in the form of a playbook.
"We support the Startup School because founding a company as a long-term career path has not yet been given enough attention at our schools. Young trainees can now experience at first hand what it means to take on entrepreneurial responsibility. Schools are cordially invited to make active use of the new programme in their careers guidance," says Marco Graf, Managing Director of the Osnabrück - Emsland - Grafschaft Bentheim Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The playbook deals with approaches from the fields of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship with the aim of providing optimal support for start-up issues. The aim is to ensure a holistic transfer of knowledge from the comfort of your own home.
The Seedhouse Startup School is now available to use, try out and acquire entrepreneurial skills.
