On April 24th, Seedhouse launched its new accelerator program for small and medium-sized enterprises. Lower Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs, Grant-Hendrik Tonne, attended the opening in person at Seedhouse in Osnabrück.
The new program is aimed at startups whose solutions can be directly deployed within SMEs. Key focus areas include AI-powered automation, logistics and procurement, IT security, and sales and production — all designed to streamline operations, reduce costs, and strengthen the competitiveness of regional businesses.
"SMEs in our region face the same challenges as companies across Germany: simplifying processes, cutting costs, staying competitive. That's exactly where we come in. We bring startups with concrete, proven solutions from across Germany directly to the companies that want to move forward," says Victor Große Macke, Head of the SME Accelerator.
For regional SMEs, this means direct access to vetted innovations — without the burden of searching for suitable solution providers themselves. Seedhouse handles the selection, support, and matchmaking, drawing on an established network of startups, academia, investors, and business partners from the region.
At the opening, Minister Tonne emphasized the importance of startups as drivers of innovation, employment, and competitiveness, and highlighted the role of regional startup hubs in securing the long-term economic viability of Lower Saxony as a business location.
