The Idea
What it's about
SLS Systementwicklungen GmbH was founded by three partners: Christian Scholz, Frederik Langsenkamp, and Dr. Wolfram Strothmann. We see ourselves as creative innovators and pragmatic implementers of unconventional concepts in agricultural engineering.
Our focus is drip irrigation. The vision is to completely reimagine the logistics of laying and collecting irrigation lines in a smart, new way and to significantly reduce the enormous labor involved in installing and uninstalling these systems. By shifting assembly work from the field into an automated factory, we also lay the groundwork for implementing smarter, more complex layouts and accessories. The result will be a substantial increase in the adoption of this agronomically highly beneficial and water-efficient irrigation method.
Our concept has already gained recognition: at Agritechnica, SLS-NextDrip was awarded the AgriFuture Concept Winner title by the DLG — the award for pioneering achievements in agricultural engineering.

The team
Who is behind it
Dr. Wolfram Strothmann is a trained farmer, holds a Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (FH) and an M.Sc. in Mechatronic Systems Engineering, and earned his Dr. rer. nat. in computer science. He has extensive experience in agricultural technology research (approx. 5 years, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences) as well as in the agricultural machinery industry (approx. 14 years, GRIMME). He is exceptionally well connected within the industry. Several projects and products he initiated and/or led have received prestigious awards and established themselves in the market.
Christian Scholz holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from a postgraduate program. He has years of experience in agricultural technology research and network development as a research associate at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences under Prof. Arno Ruckelshausen.
Frederik Langsenkamp is a trained farmer and holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in Precision Plant Management. He has been a self-employed farmer for over 10 years and has participated in numerous research and technology transfer projects at his farm.
Christian Scholz holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from a postgraduate program. He has years of experience in agricultural technology research and network development as a research associate at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences under Prof. Arno Ruckelshausen.
