AI.Land

AI.Land GmbH is a driver of innovation in the field of Smart AgTech and develops holistic robotics, automation and AI solutions for agriculture. We transfer many years of expertise from industrial plant and special machine construction to the field and combine it with practical agricultural knowledge. Our specialised team of engineers, programmers, technicians and designers has extensive knowledge and experience in various fields. The company is based on a family farm in Kempen and offers plenty of scope for creativity and development.

The idea
What it's about

Our endeavour at AI.Land GmbH is to use innovative automation technologies to increase transparency and efficiency along the entire value chain between vegetable producers and consumers. With our DAVEGI and ETAROB prototypes, we are promoting biodiversity through mixed, chaotic open-air vegetable storage and driving forward the electrification of primary agricultural production. At the same time, we support the active build-up of humus and CO2 equivalents in the soil.

We want to offer an end-to-end solution. In the B2B2C segment, we enable farmers to produce fully automated regional vegetable boxes directly in the field and market them locally. We provide robotic solutions and an open-core merchandise management system for this purpose.

The team
Who is behind it

AI.Land GmbH was founded in 2020 from the MASKOR Institute for Mobile Autonomous Systems and Cognitive Robotics at Aachen University of Applied Sciences. Our founder, Josef Franko, grew up on a farm and completed his doctorate at the institute. With the courage to develop his vision beyond university, he founded AI.Land with a small team of just three people. Since then, we have been developing, building and selling automation solutions for organic crop farming - a demand that is constantly growing, as innovative solutions are rare in agriculture.

Merging nature and technology. This is the future with which we are pursuing three visions. It's fun to drive the processes forward every day and see how far we have already come with our ideas.

Success story
Pilot projects

Since our foundation, we have focussed on autonomous field robotics. Our technology enables more selective and precise cultivation of arable land. Our robotic systems utilise machine learning methods in image processing and process control. This approach ensures continuous improvement in the quality of our systems' work.

We are initiating a disruptive change in agriculture towards more efficient and at the same time more ecological land management. Through Seedhouse, we have been able to utilise further synergy effects with companies and gain funding partners.
