What it's about

The founders of AgraCheck, Florian Stark, Sebastian Lieder and Matthias Hamborg, have a clear vision: they want to accelerate the transition to digital and sustainable agriculture. One problem that is currently slowing down this change is that decision-makers in agricultural businesses often do not have an overview of the available technologies and find it difficult to objectively evaluate different products and services even after thorough research.
AgraCheck solves this problem by presenting all available technologies clearly on one platform and making them comparable based on numerous parameters. The selection can be narrowed down quickly by setting filters. With just a few clicks, up to three products can be requested at the same time, which significantly speeds up the entire process from search to purchase.

The team
Who is behind it

An environmental economist, Sebastian has already published a study on the opportunities and risks of the digital transformation of agricultural technology at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research. Matthias studied media informatics and created platforms for medium-sized and large companies before AgraCheck. Florian, a business economist, gained experience in the business development departments of automotive groups, start-ups and the Fraunhofer Institute.

The Seedhouse brought us into contact with the agricultural sector. To this day, we benefit from the network and the reputation that a Seedhouse start-up enjoys beyond the borders of Germany.

Success story
First prototype

The idea for AgraCheck came to founders Sebastian and Florian during an innovation competition on the transformation of agriculture in spring 2021. Shortly afterwards, developer Matthias joined the team and the first prototype was online by the end of 2021. This was followed by participation in the Seedhouse Accelerator, an EXIST start-up grant and further prizes and funding from science, politics and business.

Today, AgraCheck is the leading platform for smart farming technologies in Germany. Almost 100 companies present their products and services on agracheck.com. These include start-ups as well as large companies such as John Deere, LEMKEN and KRONE. Several thousand agricultural businesses have already used the site and the portfolio and functions are being continuously expanded. The aim is to contribute to greater transparency in the AgTech market worldwide.
