What is the Seedhouse?

The Seedhouse is a start-up accelerator focussing on the agricultural, food and digital sectors. Start-up teams are supported and "accelerated" in their development towards a viable business concept.

Who is behind the Seedhouse

Who is behind the Seedhouse

The Seedhouse is a public-private partnership. The startup accelerator is supported and operated by Seedhouse Accelerator GmbH. With partnerships with regional economic development agencies, the university landscape and other thematically related organisations, the Seedhouse offers a platform for innovations in which the start-ups are networked with the relevant stakeholders.

The Seedhouse is financed by funds from the state of Lower Saxony(Startup Niedersachsen) and by Seedhouse Beteiligungs GmbH. Seedhouse Beteiligungs GmbH brings together numerous well-known companies from north-west Germany, primarily from the agricultural, food and digital sectors.

What makes the Seedhouse special?

As a multicorporate accelerator, the Seedhouse is supported by numerous, predominantly medium-sized companies. The companies are committed to fair dealings with each other and with the start-ups.

The Seedhouse gives you access to mentors at decision-maker level, some of whom are world leaders in the agricultural, food and digital sectors. You can contribute your own strategic considerations as to which mentors are best for you.

You do not give up any shares during the Seedhouse programme. Seedhouse Beteiligungs GmbH is available as a potential partner for selected start-ups for potential investments in the pre-seed and seed round.

Who can apply to the Seedhouse?

Do I have to come to Osnabrück permanently for the program?

Our programme includes start-ups from all over Germany. For individual appointments, such as an intensive kick-off and networking with relevant stakeholders, it makes sense to come to Osnabrück on an individual basis. We also organise all workshops and further support digitally. From Stuttgart, Magdeburg, Berlin, Göttingen, Bremen etc., everything has already been included.

Our Managing Director Florian is also the Managing Director of Beteiligungs GmbH and sits on the same floor as you. If it suits both sides, an investment is a real option.

What is expected of us?

What is expected of us?

Above all, we expect one thing from you: commitment and passion for your start-up! You can live your idea with us.

Of course, you should be present at the workshops, sessions and challenges . We expect the majority of your team to be fully focussed on the startup - it is not necessary to be permanently based in Osnabrück.

Are our ideas protected in the Seedhouse?

Are our ideas protected in the Seedhouse?

Joint challenges require trust. We conclude a support agreement and a confidentiality agreement with you. Of course, this also applies to the mentors. Your ideas should find a protected space with us.

We are also happy to offer sessions on protecting ideas, patents and property rights .

However, you must be aware that you will be discussing and questioning your idea with experts in an accelerator programme. This is exactly how you and your idea will improve!

You will have to pitch and convince others with your idea during the application process. Please think carefully about what information you want to give out and when.
